Research Professional Position Available
The Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of
Alberta invites applications for the position of Research Professional.
The primary responsibilities for this full-time position will be to assist
with a 3-year, clinical trial comparing surgical treatments for individuals
with head and neck cancer. This project is funded by the Alberta Heritage
Foundation for Medical Research and patient accrual has already begun. The
Research Professional will be responsible for assistance with the provision
of speech, chewing and swallowing outcomes documentation. The Research
Professional will be involved in data collection, data analysis, and general
project management.
A Masters degree is required, preferably in Speech-Language Pathology.
Experience with the assessment and treatment of patients with disorders of
speech, chewing, or swallowing will be an asset.
This is a term position for 3. The start date for the position is August 31,
2004. The competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
