** This is certainly true. The CD. however, developed from a request to write an educational article for pharmacists who, because they cannot be expected to know the anatomy/physiology of swallowing, far less be familiar with the extensive literature on the subject, would not be able to answer a question about the possibility of a particular drug causing swallowing impairment. It was reviewed by clinical pharmacists as well as dispensing pharmacists who agree that there is no reliable source of this type of information for hospital or community based pharmacists.
