[Dysphagia] Neurontin etc

** Possibly true but it is not at all well tolerated by the elderly or those who are significantly neurologically vulnerable. I saw a gentleman aged 48, a couple of weeks ago , who was being treated with large doses of Neurontin for neuropathic pain. He could barely walk, could not remember the address of a friend in a town in which he had lived all of his life, had extreme edema of hands and feet etc. etc - just about every one of the listed side effects - and was still in severe pain. From my perspective, like many other antileptics, its potentially toxic affinity for the cerebellum makes it a last choice for many purposes.
