The "Medicare week" is a rolling 7 day lookback from the Assessment Reference 
Date - you are correct.  That's one of the reasons my company chose to adopt 
the policy they did about holidays - not having 3 consecutive days without 
treatment.  
I've never had a problem without providing coverage on a holiday for those 
not in their assessment window (post PPS) or otherwise in 16 years in SNFs 
either. 
Again, your company's policies need to be followed.
