I have recently seen an elderly lady with Parkinson's disease and a moderate dementia. She has moderate dysphage for both foods and fluids. She wears upper and lower dentures which fit well. She has been complaining for some time of a burning sensation in her gums which is always there and remains fairly constant. He dentist referrd to it as "Burning Mouth Syndrome." Has anyone ever heard of this or had any experiences?
