If the rest of the list happens to reply to my initial post, please kindly 
remove the CC name off when you "reply all".   I had just forwarded my post to 
our ALS Clinic Research coordinator as we had a big discussion re: Vital Stim 
at clinic.  However, she doesn't need a million posts in her email.  I can fill 
her in re: continued discussion.  

Thanks for the info Janet.  Now that you've let the cat out of the bag, the 
flyer was from HealthSouth and clearly stated that Vital Stim was FDA approved 
(true) and it was effective in treating dysphagia in ALS among the other 
previously stated disorders.  This isn't true for ALS and here's this flyer 
circulating out there among the 30 ALS patients in clinic yesterday and while not 
literally promising to cure their dysphagia, many of the patients will try any 
type of treatment they read about.  I think e-stim holds promise for certain 
patient populations,  but this flyer stating it was effective in treating ALS 
patients....oy vey...my blood pressure....
