[Dysphagia] Gagging post tongue Ca

I am following a 47y/o male s/p tongue Ca, resection 3/24/04, rad and chemo
rx completed 6/04. He receives his primary nutrition/hydration via G-tube.
His biggest challenge in progressing is his hypersensitive gag. He can
tolerate some liquids and very thinned purees without gag but as thickness,
texture and volume increase, his gag is triggered frequently followed by vomitting.
Any suggestions on how to help this man?

Susan
