[Dysphagia] brother with CA

Update....my brother has two more weeks of radiation for throat CA (vocal cord malignancies)....this will be the stronger doses and he's beginning to find 'some' swallowing issues....has a med which coats the throat for soreness...he has choked on his own saliva and was told to tuck chin when this happens and does help...cutting up meat but still trouble and avoids most of time....I suggested the Ensure for wt...he's lost 8 lbs so far so not too bad as yet...said he feels like he has a 'lump' in the throat and assume that is edema from the radiation...thanks to all for your suggestions...any other thoughts appreciated....
