[Dysphagia] stretched esophagus?

  • Subject: [Dysphagia] stretched esophagus?

A friend of mine with EDS underwent her 2nd neck fusion. Here is part of an
email from another EDS friend with a question. Hopefully someone has heard
of this before.

the fusion in her neck went well. The doctor said she
did have a pinched nerve, and that the surgery should help get rid
of some of the pain. He did say, however, that her esophogus was
stretched. He said she may want/need to see a specialist about
this.

My friend wants to know what type of specialist the lady should see who has
the stretched esophagus. My guess would be a GI MD?

Thanks!
