The most recent number I've read is 600/day.
I got this from the "up to date" website (www.uptodate.com) Which represents
the "most current" research on a variety of medical topics. Author is
Anthony Lembo, MD -gastroenterology at Harvard

Hello,

We are preparing an inservice for our physicians and are looking for a
reference that cites average number of swallows for an individual per day.
Any one know of a referenced article?

Thanks in advance

Nancy
