I had a phone call today from someone trying to locate a therapist in
Pasadena CA who has experience with older adults with swallowing disorders. A
family member is 80 years old and has been on a feeding tube for the past 5 years.
The relative wants some guidelines on feeding him orally and possibly moving
toward full oral feeding. The man is living at home and is cared for by his
wife. I couldn't get much information on the history or diagnosis and
strongly recommended that they see an experienced professional in their area. Is
anyone on this list from Pasadena (or driving distance)? or do you know
someone?
