We are a small pediatric rehab hospital and we send our kids to our
affiliated acute care hospital. Usually, depending on transportation, it
can be anywhere from 1-3 weeks as well, depending on the child's other
appointments. If they are over at the acute care hospital, I've heard
they can get them within 24 hours. Definitely not a perfect system!
