This course announcement is for those of you who are looking for an advanced
level course in the area of pediatric feeding and swallowing.

Advanced Analysis and Application of Clinical and Instrumental Findings in
Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing

This advanced level course has been designed for speech- language
pathologists who are currently providing feeding and swallowing services to
a pediatric population and have experience in the use and analysis of
pediatric oral-pharyngeal motility studies. Emphasis will be placed on the
analysis and interpretation of clinical and instrumental evaluations using a
case study model. Group analysis and problem solving will be used to develop
intervention programming recommendations as well as appropriate goals and
strategies for treatment and mealtime feeding. A review of factors
influencing safe and efficient oral feeding will be provided. Participants
will be encouraged to discuss their case experiences during group problem
solving.

             Saturday, April 30, 2005    9:00am-12:30pm
