[Dysphagia] Blue Dye

This is what I have been doing for about 10 months now. It works okay, but is still somewhat messy some times. Is better infection control wise than carrying big bottles around, but is still not as good, I think, as the individually produced bullets.

I heard a wonderful idea that a hospital in Canberra, Australia is apparently doing... They have their pharmacy department safely put blue dye into small syringes. Thus they don't have to carry big amounts around with them and they are available for individual use. We are currently investigating it for our hospital.

Cheers, Lisa Hopper.

As far as I know there is no longer anyone producing any similar products. I miss the tru-blu bullets too! If anyone ever does come across anyone making a similar product again I hope that they run to their computer to share the good news with the rest of us! Those of us who primarily see trach patients would thank you so very much.

Does anyone have a resource for obtaining individual vials of blue dye? We
were using Tru Blu, but they have apparently gone out of business.

Thanks,
Jenny
