[Dysphagia] Masako Maneuver

I too use the Masako Maneuver quite frequently as I treat cancer patients. This, however, is only performed as an exercise with dry swallows. Never is it used as a compensatory technique during mealtime, etc. My goal is not to make the swallow a closed, rather than an open swallow, but to improve PPW movement secondary to free-flap reconstruction of the base of tongue or PPW, or removal of the epiglottis. What would y'all =) do instead?
