[Dysphagia] Phlegm



As you will recall from your anatomy classes the pharynx, mouth, esophagus. 
stomach, intestinal tract and the respiratory tract. The increased mucous 
could be produced in any number of places depending upon the place of 
irritation. . .most of it would be from the esophagus and pharynx area.

With the knowledge that GERD is often associated with increased mucous 
production, where does the mucous actually come from...the nasal sinuses, 
the stomach???
