Curious if to assist in mucous problems if Mucinex would be a good thing to
use in patients with an excess of Mucous problems?

With the knowledge that GERD is often associated with increased mucous

production, where does the mucous actually come from...the nasal

sinuses, the stomach???
*** The esophagus. Lined with mucous secreting tissue, it is doing its job
in reacting to acid and protecting the epithelium of the esophagus ? hence
mucus production that must be cleared.
