Hi Everyone,
Thanks to those who have responded to my original post.
Most of you have asked more questions, so I'll try to provide more info for you all in one go.
Previous medical history:
AMI, aortic sclerosis, dilater LA, IHD, CCF, AF, AAA, arthritis, ?CAL
No polio was reported (for the person who asked)...and today he is drowsy, confused and has mostly unintelligible speech...so I'm unable to ask.
(yesterday he was alert, and speaking normally)
As for medications: (quite a cocktail)
Augmentin
Aspirin
Ranitidine
Lasix
Ceftriaxone (commenced today)
Metronidazole (commenced today)
Coversyl
Vancomycin (ceased today)
Digoxin
Heparin
Amlodipine
Bisoprolol
Salbutamol
Atrovent
Amiadarone
Coloxyl & Senna
I did a bit of a search on these and only found info on 2 that could cause dysphagia...but who knows on the interactions between them!
If anyone has anything to add to the previous responses on either cause or therapy ideas, please let me know,
Ta,
Deanna
