Hello everybody

I m a new member to the list, a radiologist interested in swallowing
disorders and member of the first, as far as we know, Dysphagia Team in
Greece. Our Group works at the "G.Papanikolaou" Gen.Hospital since 2000.
So , I came to seek an opinion, either from the literature or from your
point of view for the following issue:
Which event do you regard as the definite time point of Pharyngeal phase
triggering?
a. Closure of the true vocal cords
b. Hyoid elevation
c. Laryngeal aditus closure
d. Tongue base retraction
Each of the above events is rcognizable in the MBS examination, and we
can use it as a starting point from which we could coung Pharyngeal
Triggering Delay times.
