[Dysphagia] Re: Parry Romberg

Anyone ever have a patient with this syndrome? Also called Progressive Facial Hemiatrophy, Progressive Hemifacial Atrophy, and Romberg Syndrome. I don't have any specific questions at this time, other than I'm wondering how commonly we encounter it. This is my patient with this disorder and I have never heard of it. I'd love to have some contacts with some experience with it in case I come up with some questions....

*** Parry Romberg is an inherited form of scleroderma that is localized and may have features of esophageal/oropharyngeal dysphagia plus other morbidities. It is rare and most have never seen a case. The important featrues would be: to which areas is it localized? Are there any family members back as far as can be remembered who also had it (autosomal inheritance is not proven but family history must be checked) - and what was their outcome?
