[Dysphagia] Oral care and thick saliva

I found it interesting that, in the article I posted, the nurses noted frequent dry mouth and thick, ropey saliva, both signs of dehydration but didn't appear to make the connection. Medications and illness both contribute to dry tongue but in conjunction with thick saliva means dehydration.
