[Dysphagia] Flouro

I'm wondering in anyone has any information regarding the amount of radiation that you get while doing a swallowing study since as an SLP you are often more in the path of the flouro being that sometimes you really have to help the patient get the food/liquid in their mouth or they are unable to hold things themselves. I had a new radiologist today tell me that I should really try to not stand in the path so much and I should try to switch hands while giving things to patients. He was very concerned! I'm just not quite sure how out of the flouro we really can stand when we have patients that are so disabled. Any ideas or information you can share?

  Thank you
