My apologies if this is a duplicate post. I didn't receive any replies,
so I thought maybe I'd made a posting error. I've also posted this to a
thread on the new web forum.

Hello.
Below is a copy of a document some therapists I work with wish to post
in various nursing and patient care areas of our acute care facility. I
have given some feedback about points I believe are not evidence based
and which are erroneous, but I think input from this forum might be
helpful in convincing them that the document may not best serve the
people they are treating or our profession.
I've suggested that they might consider re-titling the form to state
"Signs of Swallowing Difficulty". Then additional information could be
added or reworded, and some of the items removed from the list
altogether.
Thanks for your feedback.
Text of form:
Signs of Aspiration
* Change in rate of respiration
* Change in lung sounds
* Audible breathing
* Congestion
* Coughing or clearing throat during swallowing
* "Wet" or "gurgly" voice quality
* Multiple swallows
* Temperature spikes
* Runny nose while eating
* Watery eyes while eating
* Shortness of breath during or after eating
