What if the pt. can absolutely not tolerate thin liquid intake (like water)
because it
causes coughing, choking, distress...........?? However, thick liquids are
tolerated easily.
Aside from the hypodermoclysis option (all may not have this option
available, for instance, if they are living at home), what else can we do
for our patients?? At times it
feels as though we are caught in a "catch 22".
