[Dysphagia] alternative thickeners
I mix applesauce with apple juice. I think it tastes better than with water.

Foods can be thickened naturally i.e. mix yogurt with milk and applesauce with water.

Subject: [Dysphagia] alternative thickeners
I am looking for any information on alternatives to thickeners (ie.
cornstarch) to use for patients which may be allergic to standard thickening
products. Does anyone know of any good research articles or have any
experience with alternative thickeners? Any information would help.
Thank you,
