As an expert witness, I am rehired presumably on results, i.e. if the side
wins, I contributed. I don't care which side, as long as I can testify
truthfully. As far as consultation is concerned, rehiring (by same or others)
depends on the results of my advice over which I have no control so I can't have a
vested interest in trying to please by doing anything other than following an
unbiased course. I am not selling a product - not even myself.
