I am sending this out to everyone IF you are going to ASHA---if not, then disregard this email. I know that several of us are looking into digital recordings of the fluoroscopic swallowing studies. Perkins, a company that is providing DVD recording capability for these (and, in fact, is the system that Kay is using with their swallowing station now), will have a booth at ASHA. I would encourage you to go by as they are going to be showing a product that is in the development stages for recording the studies to laptop computer--I saw it briefly the other day--and, think it has some promise. I think it would be helpful to the company that as many people as possible go by to provide them with additional input. They are very open--and, this is a great chance for a lot of us to let someone know in the development stages what is needed. The contact person that I have worked with is: Bob Jaksik and Valerie (I think that is her name). I have no personal gains from this,
except to say: this is in development and, they would appreciate any input regarding what we need a program to do for us. THANKS--I hope that you all have a great time at ASHA.
