[Dysphagia] limited oral opening

Does anyone on this list know of a "device" that might be used to slowly
increase oral opening. I have a patient with multiple medical problems who
has been in the hospital now for 5 months-I recently got him, and limited
oral opening is just one of the problems to address. My daughter's
orthodontist stated that he knew little about this, except that there are
products out there which can be gradually inflated. In other words, the
product/device is placed in the mouth daily and gradual inflation with each
placement will increase oral opening. He stated that some products are
better than others, but had no product names. I searched the internet and
must not be keying in the correct terminology. Any ideas?????
