If this unfortunate gentleman indeed has had pneumonitis, then he has
refluxed/vomited and aspirated ? what on earth do ?laryngeal/pharyngeal exercises?
have to do with this? And what are they anyway? I'm afraid I can't
visualize any such thing nor imagine what effect it might have.

The gentlemen has a previous hx of dysphagia (probably d/t overall debility)
which was successfully treated and he returned to full po. Recent hx
includes sepsis, aspiration pneumonia and pneumonitis (according to the limited
info that I have at this time). I have not yet received an MBS report. According
to his wife, following PEG placement, his children, both MD's, told him it
was fine to have OJ and ice cream. He also had some apple sauce that he
immediately vomited. From the one note that I have from the hospital it appears
he was being treated for reduced BOT and reduced hyolaryngeal elevation.
