***what data is available about frequency of treatment/practice?
Do we really know how much "homework" we should be expecting/demanding of
our pts to see results? The hospital slp had him practicing
6x/day...........at what point does the law of diminishing returns kick
in?
It has been suggested that there is no data indicating efficacy of
'exercises' beyond the Shaker? If that is true, why would any exercise be
indicated, let alone a treatment plan of ongoing skilled therapy when the
patient is already following a "home exercise program 6x/day" = independent
in that exercise program. What is the justification and ethics for
considering a charge of skilled therapy for such a treatment plan?
***I'm still waiting for his records and the reports from his 3
MBS's.............but my original question was not about this particular pt.
Are you wondering if there is a typical and general treatment regime? For
what diagnosis causing these dysphagia symptoms?
