Subject: [Dysphagia] saliva management

I currently see an adult TBI client for speech and language sevices. She
has had an MBS and no longer aspirates or shows signs of dysphagia. She
does complain, however of problems with saliva management, as this
interferes with speech and conversation. My thought is that there is
reduced oral sensation leading to a buildup of excess saliva. Does anyone
have any advice on techniques that she can use to better manage her saliva
while talking?

Thanks.
