The OTs at our facility have stopped participating in MBS studies as well due to reimbursement on behalf of Medicare. The change took place late last year.

Hello,

At our facility, we have a veteran OT who has been doing the pediatric
feeding/swallowing work in this area (MA) for quite some time. Our
management has informed us that we are not being reimbursed for her
services through insurance because and SLP is required to perform the
assessment. I'm not involved with billing, but I was surprised by this.
Has anyone else run into it?

Thanks,

Jennifer L. Chapin, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
