[Dysphagia] Allergy to barium

A colleague from another center told me today about a pt with whom he
wanted to do an MBS, but the pt is allergic to barium.  Apparently  in
the past he had an allergic reaction to the barium used in another GI
procedure - skin rash + airway swelling.  I am wondering if anyone else
has had this problem and if there is another material that could be used
for a VFSS.
I did a search of the Dysphagia archives and found one post with a
suggestion to use Gastrograffin or Isovue.  Has anyone used these
materials for MBSs?  Any other suggestions?  Thanks for any input.
