[Dysphagia] dysphagia and alcohol w/d

I work at a county hospital where it is not uncommon for our pts to be going 
through alcohol or drug w/d.  I have often noticed that many patients going 
through alcohol w/d have dysphagia with thin liquids.  Has anyone else ever 
noticed this, and if so is there any literature on it?
