I don't know of a therapy but the idea may come from the book, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards and the PT/OT technique of .... oh, what's it called? ... where the therapist immobilizes the good limb for use of the "bad." I read a bit about this a few years ago (and obviously retained it quite well!).
