[Dysphagia] Drooling
There is usually a sensory and motor component; the
patient typically is hyposensitive to saliva pooling
at the front of the mouth and also has reduced lip and
cheek strength, which impacts oral resting posture.
Thus, you need to work on increasing awareness of the
saliva (in the mouth as well as when their chin is
wet) and also on increasing the strength of the lips
and cheeks.
