Kelly,
Your question about MBSS is one that we frequently receive at ASHA. There are responses to this and other Frequently Asked Questions on the ASHA web site (http://professional.asha.org). From the home page, click on the SLP Member Community, register with your ASHA number if you haven't already done so, and click on the Special Section marked "Dysphagia." The FAQs are located there.

Two questions to those who are doing Modified Barium Swallow Studies
or Videoflourography Evaluations of Swallwing (whatever you prefer to call
it) :
1) how do you evaluate very obese or high quad/vent patients that will not
fit between standard flouro tube and verticle table? (many may be using
C-arm, if so do you record images on VHS tape or digital system? doing c
arm bedside?)
2) does anyone do MBSSs without a radiologist present for EVERY study or
eval? (does anyone have radiologist review tape later for interpretation?)
If these topics have been discussed then please direct me to a key word for
search, so far I cannot locate anything with the obvious keywords searched.
Thanks in advance for this informal survey!
