[DYSPHAGIA] CPR/Heimlich maneuver

Does anyone know of a printed "protocol" for CPR/Heimlich maneuver for a
child who wears a Passy-Muir valve? I have a high-school aged student who
is a choking risk, and we usually establish a feeding protocol for high
risk students, including what to do if the student chokes. I assume the
protocol would be much the same as for any other student due to the
one-way valve situation with the Passy-Muir. I contacted the Passy-Muir
representative, and she indicated that the company does not have a
standard protocol regarding CPR/Heimlich. Would you recommend using a
standard method with this student? If the valve accidently becomes
dislodged during CPR/Heimlich, then what? Replace it and continue? Any
information you can supply would be greatly appreciated!
